Description
A little something I drew specifically for this year's Kawaii Kon last April. I wanted to capture the cuteness of those particular Japanese greeting cards I've received from my host family in Japan. I had such a hard time reducing proportions for drawing children, lol. >_< I think I like the girl's kimono best, especially the orange sash. It's satisfying, color-wise.
Traditional media, all of it! Watercolor base, prismacolor markers, prisma pencisl, micron pens, white gel pen. Oh, and red ink stamp.
The string of Japanese roughly means, in honorific form: I give you summer greetings!
I had printed these high-quality onto heavy-weight textured cards, included envelopes, and sealed them in plastic sleeves. Unfortunately, they sold a little slowly, and I still have some waiting for next year.
So, please no stealing.
